Hola Family and Friends- What a blessing we have received. This last week we heard from ICBF, (the Colombian government for adoptions) about a brother to our children. His name is Jhon and he is 10 years old. We have been asked if we would like to adopt him as he has now been placed for adoption and we have of course accepted! We are more than thrilled to share this news with you all. The children are very excited to see Jhon again and cant wait until that day comes. We have a longer process ahead as we have to complete the whole adoption process from the beginning again. They expect it will be about 9 months of paperwork and waiting. Please pray for patience for us, finances as we look forward, safety and growth for Jhon. We will update you all as we receive updates.

What a busy and fun August it has been. We spent the first week visiting family in IL and IN. These set of pictures are from our IN visit to Tio Jeff, Tia Kiki, Lauren and Ethan. We had a great visit! The kids loved spending time with their cousins, swimming and enjoying their first tubing experience. All four kids got to go on the tube (even Prospero loved it). They even preferred riding with their cousin Lauren. Jim had his second missions trip of the summer in Chicago the week before and was able to join us about 1am on Friday. What a relaxing way to end the week, Tia Kiki cooked Colombian plantain dish which the kids loved. We also celebrated Jim's 32nd birthday on Aug 8th. (Most of his day was spent driving home, 15hrs, yikes, the kids did great). Jesus loved fishing and Estefania caught her first fish. Derly was not a fan of the worms or the fish. There were some horseflies we had to battle against, or as Derly liked to call them: Hair-flies. Jesus jumped with Papi off the top dock, what a brave little boy. Mami wasn't there the first time, so the boys did it a second time so I could see. More pics and stories from our prior week to come. So many pics, so little time.
